Client: City of Toronto
Accardi Engineering Group partnered with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital on the 150 Kilgour Road Stormwater Outfall Remediation Project. This design-build initiative addresses ongoing slope instability in Burke Brook Ravine, located behind 150 Kilgour Road in Toronto. The project aims to rehabilitate failed stormwater infrastructure while stabilizing the severely eroded ravine slope, contributing to more resilient watersheds and protecting public greenspace.
The scope of work included rebuilding the failed stormwater sewer infrastructure and stabilizing the eroded ravine using an engineered Reinforced Slope System. Given the challenging 35-40 meter vertical drop of the site, construction is being carried out from the toe of the slope upwards, ensuring safety and minimizing further disturbance.
